Theodrama: “MISSIO”

Introduction

MISSIO Production was created with a plan to apply the theme of “mission” to the school’s vision for Asia evangelization and world missions by dealing with the theological, historical, and strategic perspectives in the form of performing arts.

Due to the sudden coronavirus crisis, the first performance was for a documentary recording, and the actual performance will be presented at the ACTS University Auditorium or a representative Korean church.

Scene 1: The source of the mission is the triune God. Therefore, the performance begins by expressing the missionary role of the Trinity on the stage.

Scene 2: God the Father, by His Son as the Logos and the Holy Spirit, commissions missionary missions to His chosen agents.

Scene 3: God’s agents make historical and cultural journeys against the backgrounds of various peoples, religions, and generations.

Scene 4: Entering the present era, they approach the urbanized/globalized society (materialism, competitionism, hedonism, mysticism, technoism).

Scene 5: They approach God’s intimate touch to redeem young souls, especially those caught up in cyberspace and virtual reality.

Scene 6: In the last scene, the Lord transforms unbelievers through His agents and ends with the transformational mission, which also changes the perspective of mission.
